Suilynex

A modern society for mutual improvement.

Suilynex brings curious people from different backgrounds together to exchange ideas, knowledge, skills, perspectives, and help.

01 The idea

The internet connected everyone. It didn't necessarily bring us together.

Modern platforms sort people into bubbles: by interest, by belief, by career, by algorithm, by the circles we already move in. You are shown more of what you already are.

Suilynex is designed to do something different. It intentionally brings unlike people into contact.

  • A programmer might meet an artist.
  • A chemist might talk with a carpenter.
  • A college student might exchange ideas with an entrepreneur.
  • Someone obsessed with ancient Rome might meet someone building AI systems.

The point is not that everyone agrees.

The point is that everyone has something to contribute.

02 Origins

Inspired by the Junto

Philadelphia, 1727. Benjamin Franklin formed a small group called the Junto. Its members came from different trades and backgrounds. They met regularly to debate ideas, share knowledge, improve themselves, help one another, and consider problems larger than themselves.

Nearly three centuries later, the tools have changed. The idea has not.

In 1727, twelve members sat at one table and each knew the person beside them. In 2026, twelve unlike members are each connected across the table, with one seat left open.

03 Inside

What happens inside

  • 01

    Discussion

Thoughtful conversations about ideas worth exploring.

  • 02

    Learning

Teach what you know and learn what you don't.

  • 03

    Collaboration

Find people who can help turn ideas into projects.

  • 04

    Different Perspectives

Interact with people outside your normal social and professional bubble.

  • 05

    Mutual Help

Ask for advice, introductions, feedback, knowledge, or a favor—and return the same when you can.

  • 06

    Small Groups

Members may be placed into smaller groups containing different personalities, interests, ages, skills, and occupations to encourage unexpected connections.

04 The questions

A community built around better questions.

The original Junto opened every meeting with a set of standing questions. Suilynex keeps the habit.

05 By design

Different people by design

Most communities quietly recreate the bubbles their members arrived in. Suilynex is built not to.

During onboarding, members may answer a few basic questions:

  • Age range
  • Occupation or field
  • Interests
  • Skills
  • Subjects you know well
  • Subjects you want to learn
  • Projects you are working on

That information can later help place members into smaller groups that deliberately contain different kinds of people.

Enough similarity to connect, enough difference to learn.

06 Membership

One dollar. One seat at the table.

one dollar per month

The price is intentionally small. It is not designed to make the community exclusive by wealth.

It simply creates a minimal barrier between casually clicking “join” and intentionally becoming part of the community.

07 Principles

The table only works if everyone contributes.

  • Curiosity over certainty.
  • Discussion over performance.
  • Disagreement without contempt.
  • Give knowledge freely.
  • Ask good questions.
  • Help when you can.
  • Stay open to being wrong.
  • Bring something to the table.

The original Junto began with twelve people. Every community begins somewhere.

Take a seat.
